Lauryn Hill’s story is the stuff of urban legend. After emceeing for the seminal rap group, The Fugees, her solo career took off in 1998 with her solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Lauryn’s tunes populated America’s airwaves for the last years of the twentieth century, until she dropped out of the public eye early in the twenty-first.
Rumors swirled and a brief prison sentence ensued, however, the hip-hop icon is back and fiery as ever. She recently made the trip down to The Surf Lodge and dropped tunes every audience member grew up with. We here at CONVICTS couldn’t be more stoked that Lauryn is back in action.
