You didn’t even know you’d been hotly anticipating CONVICTS new series DIRECTORS, did you? Well now that you know, you’re in luck because the first episodes are below. DIRECTORS is a short interview series that focuses on the craft of filmmaking. To kick off this new project, we sat down with legendary New Yorker Jerry Schatzberg.
Schatzberg is in a league of his own when it comes to his work in the creative industries, with his early photography work including shots of Bob Dylan for his album Blonde on Blonde along with his work appearing in the likes of Vogue Magazine. As a Film Director, Schatzberg created the likes of Pacino‘s early film Panic in Needle Park, as well his film Scarecrow, which shared the title of Grand Prix du Festival International du Film at Cannes Film Festival in 1973. We asked him a few questions on acting, reacting, starting out in film and how to get that perfect shot.
